The Highland distillery strengthens its aged portfolio in India with a richer, more complex expression crafted through extended maturation.

Glenmorangie has expanded its presence in India’s premium single malt segment with the launch of The Lasanta 15 Years Old, a new expression that deepens the Highland distillery’s exploration of sherry cask maturation while strengthening its aged whisky portfolio in the country.

The introduction of The Lasanta 15 Years Old completes Glenmorangie’s refreshed age-led collection, which now comprises 12, 15 and 18 Years Old expressions. The range offers whisky enthusiasts a more defined journey through the distillery’s signature house style, celebrated for its smooth, elegant and fruit-forward character, complemented by notes of citrus, vanilla, honey and delicate spice.

Following the transformation of The Original into a 12 Year Old expression and the introduction of Infinita 18 Years Old, The Lasanta 15 Years Old assumes its place as the collection’s richly layered, sherry-forward offering.

“With its rich spice and luscious sweetness, Glenmorangie Lasanta has long evoked the magic of a sunset, a moment of beauty that feels both familiar and new each time,” said Bill Lumsden, Director of Whisky Creation at Glenmorangie. “In reimagining this expression as a 15 Year Old, we have refined its cask composition and extended its maturation to bring greater balance, complexity and elegance. The result is a whisky that captures the radiant warmth and layered hues of a sunset in every sip.”

One of Glenmorangie’s most admired whiskies worldwide, The Lasanta has now been matured for 15 years, resulting in a deeper, more balanced and complex expression. Crafted from spirit aged in a combination of bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks, the whisky delivers a richer interpretation of its signature style, where sun-soaked sweetness meets warming spice.

The release comes at a time when Indian consumers are increasingly seeking richer and more nuanced flavour profiles. Showcasing Glenmorangie’s expertise in sherry cask maturation, The Lasanta 15 Years Old draws its distinctive character from the interplay between bourbon casks, which lend softness and elegance, and Oloroso sherry casks, which contribute depth, richness and spice.

The resulting whisky offers layers of raisins, honey, toffee and clove, accented by gentle hints of cinnamon. The profile is indulgent yet approachable, delivering the complexity and warmth that resonate with evolving consumer tastes.
