After debuting in New York, the eco-friendly brand takes Made-in-India design global with its ‘Serendipity’ collection.
Indian travel gear brand uppercase has become the first Indian luggage maker to showcase at Paris Fashion Week, marking a milestone moment for the country’s design and sustainability-driven manufacturing sector. The brand presented its new collection Serendipity at the Accessories Showcase during Paris Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2025 on October 2.
The Paris appearance follows uppercase’s runway debut at New York Fashion Week earlier this year — placing the Bengaluru-based brand among a small group of Indian companies to feature in two of the world’s most influential fashion events in the same year.
The Serendipity collection, inspired by journeys and chance encounters, combines eco-conscious design with global aesthetics. The line features muted greens, twilight blues, sandy beige, and soft metallic tones — colours that mirror natural landscapes. Each piece is made from recycled fabrics and sustainable materials, reflecting the brand’s commitment to environmentally responsible production.
The showcase featured former Miss India Arissa Khan and actor Sahil Salathia as showstoppers, underscoring uppercase’s push to position travel gear as a style statement beyond functionality.
“Paris Fashion Week was about more than showing a collection — it was about putting India on the global fashion map,” said Sudip Ghose, Founder and Managing Director of uppercase.
The brand’s Chief Design Officer, Nidhi Rajora, also walked the ramp, highlighting the company’s focus on creativity and innovation-led design.
Uppercase is now expanding its portfolio with ‘Holidaze’, a vibrant vacation-inspired line, and ‘Pro HL’, a professional gear range. The Serendipity collection will hit stores and online platforms in November 2025, coinciding with the festive and travel season.
Founded in 2021, uppercase has quickly built a reputation for blending sustainability, design, and functionality. The brand earlier made headlines by becoming the first Indian luggage maker in 69 years to win the Red Dot Design Award for its innovative Bullet suitcase.
With back-to-back international showcases in New York and Paris, uppercase is positioning itself as a global ambassador of sustainable Indian design — proving that travel gear can be both stylish and responsible.
