“I don’t claim to know it all when it comes to business, but I do have a sharp eye for good prospects and opportunities. I have studied media and the semiotics of advertising and have been a copywriter before I became an actor. As such, I have a flair for ideation and a knack for understanding consumer behaviour, and how to position a product effectively,” says Singh.

His investments are diverse—from health foods to lifestyle products, and fashion and wellness—the most significant one being sexual wellness brand Bold Care, in 2023. The startup, which provides personalised treatments while ensuring privacy, has an annual recurring revenue of ₹110 crore-plus, and is growing month-on-month. Singh had said earlier his investment was aimed at destigmatising discussions around sexual health in India.

Singh has also co-founded new-age snacking brand SuperYou. The main ingredient of SuperYou is fermented yeast protein, produced using bio-fermentation technology. The firm, with products such as multigrain protein chips and a chocolate-protein hybrid bar under its kitty, is eyeing ₹500 crore in revenue in three years. Zerodha’s Nikhil Kamath is also an investor in SuperYou.

“While acting remains my primary focus, I’ve found that building brand communication, from strategy to storytelling, is something I genuinely enjoy. I have been fortunate to collaborate with partners like Rajat [Jadhav, Bold Care] and Nikunj [Biyani, SuperYou], whose strategic insights and trust in my creative vision have helped shape ventures that are not just cutting-edge cool, but also commercially sound. The runaway success of SuperYou and the triumphant upswing of Bold Care have been fulfilling to witness, and I am excited to do more,” adds Singh.
