India's leading private healthcare provider, Apollo Hospitals , is planning to add over 4,300 beds in the next five years with an investment of over ₹8,000 crore. Currently, Apollo has over 10,000 beds across 73 hospitals.
''Our more than ₹8,000 crore investment over the next five years will add over 4,300 beds, with the first phase of 2,000 beds already in progress—bringing advanced care closer to communities across India'', said Dr. Prathap C Reddy, Chairman, Apollo Hospitals Enterprise (AHEL).
Apollo will commission new hospitals in Pune, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Bangalore and Delhi-NCR this year. Several more are in varying stages of development, and these state-of-the-art facilities will be equipped with cutting-edge medical technology, reinforcing Apollo's commitment to delivering world-class care at scale, said Dr Prathap Reddy, while announcing FY25 results.
In Bengaluru, Apollo will lease an existing 200-bed hospital in the first stage and establish a 500-bed greenfield hospital in the suburbs. With the ongoing brownfield expansions in the city, the total bed strength in Bengaluru will become 1,500 beds. Apollo is adding 160 beds through brownfield expansion at the existing Jubilee Hills and Secunderabad facilities in Hyderabad. With the upcoming facility in Gachibowli, Apollo Hospitals' bed strength in Hyderabad will increase to 1,400 beds.
Apollo reported a consolidated revenue of ₹21,794 crore in FY25, a growth of 14% more than ₹19,059 crore recorded in FY24. EBITDA grew by 26% at ₹3,021 crore as against ₹2,390 crore in FY24. Its reported net profit ( PAT) was at ₹1,446 crore as against ₹898 crore in FY24, a growth of 61% year-on-year.
