Quick commerce startup Zepto has partnered with branded land developer The House of Abhinandan Lodha (HoABL) to enable its users to enquire about two of the latter’s properties – Vrindavan, Uttar Pradesh and Neral, Maharashtra. Launched on August 16, on the occasion of Janmashtami, the feature allows users across India, including in cities such as Delhi NCR and Mumbai, to view land investment opportunities in these two locations.

“The House of Abhinandan Lodha and Zepto are partnering to make access to land simple and digital. HoABL’s app lets customers explore, select and buy plots online; bringing it onto Zepto’s tech-strong platform takes that journey to where millions already shop. Timed with Janmashtami, premium plots in Vrindavan are now discoverable on Zepto for a limited time—another step toward democratising land," said Chandan Mendiratta, Chief Brand & Culture Officer, Zepto, in a statement.

India's Top 100 Billionaires

August 2025

As India continues to be the world’s fastest-growing major economy, Fortune India presents its special issue on the nation’s Top 100 Billionaires. Curated in partnership with Waterfield Advisors, this year’s list reflects a slight decline in the number of dollar billionaires—from 185 to 182—even as the entry threshold for the Top 100 rose to ₹24,283 crore, up from ₹22,739 crore last year. From stalwarts like Mukesh Ambani, Gautam Adani, and the Mistry family, who continue to lead the list, to major gainers such as Sunil Mittal and Kumar Mangalam Birla, the issue goes beyond the numbers to explore the resilience, ambition, and strategic foresight that define India’s wealth creators. Under the marketing campaign, on Zepto, users simply type “land” in the search bar to reach HoABL’s page, browse available options, initiate an enquiry, and connect with an expert over video. Buyers can begin with a small, fully refundable token amount as an expression of interest, with subsequent payments structured in a staggered manner to make land ownership more accessible. Within 10 minutes, they can connect with a HoABL expert for a live video consultation on the properties.

The Vrindavan property is priced from ₹1.39 crore for a 140 sq. metre (1,506 sq. ft.) plot, while the Neral project starts at ₹39.99 lakh for 116 sq. metres (1,248 sq. ft.). The properties are being positioned as wealth-creation or investment alternatives.

HoABL already offers a fully digital experience through its own app, where customers can explore, purchase, and track plots end-to-end.

Speaking to Fortune India, an HoABL spokesperson revealed that the response so far has been excellent with many consumers showing interest in enquiries. For now, the service is only for the two properties, and the campaign is set to continue for two more days. Based on inputs from Zepto and HoABL, more properties from HoABL’s portfolio may be made available for enquiries on the app.

“We are on a mission to democratise land ownership for Indians with our fully seamless and transparent digital-first model. With our own app and website already offering a convenient digital buying journey, this collaboration with Zepto widens our reach, making wealth creation through land investment even more easy and faster,” said Saurabh Jain, CMO at The House of Abhinandan Lodha, in a statement.

The rationale for choosing Zepto over other proptech platforms that are also innovating on quicker enquiry systems, according to a spokesperson, is that Zepto offers HoABL access to a much wider and more diverse audience, not just real estate veterans. This way, the company can build a larger leads database to convert into buyers. However, HoABL did not disclose any data on potential conversions.
