The appointment comes at a time when India is witnessing strong momentum across infrastructure, manufacturing and consumer-driven sectors, creating fresh opportunities for multinational companies to deepen their local footprint. Henkel said Ingle will continue to hold his existing global responsibilities as Global Head – Infrastructure Protection & Repair and IMEA Head – Manufacturing & Maintenance within Henkel Adhesive Technologies.

India emerges as strategic growth market

Henkel’s leadership transition reflects the increasing importance of India in the company’s global growth strategy. The company highlighted the country’s large-scale infrastructure investments, accelerating industrialisation and expanding consumer base as key drivers of long-term business opportunities.

With more than 25 years of leadership experience spanning India, Asia-Pacific, North America and the Middle East and Africa, Ingle brings extensive expertise in driving growth, acquisitions, organisational transformation and digital business models. He succeeds S. Sunil Kumar, who led Henkel India over the past five years and will now relocate to Dubai to oversee strategic projects across the IMEA region.

Commenting on the appointment, Ashraf Elafifi, President – IMEA, Henkel, said, “India is a key growth engine for Henkel globally. Pradhyumna brings a unique combination of global perspective, deep market understanding, customer-centricity, and proven leadership in driving transformation and sustainable growth.”

Betting on innovation and local capabilities

Ingle said India’s rapid economic transformation is creating significant opportunities across manufacturing, infrastructure, mobility, electronics, energy and digital technologies.

“India is at the forefront of a remarkable economic and consumer transformation. With accelerating investments in manufacturing, infrastructure, mobility, electronics, energy, and digital technologies, alongside a young and aspirational consumer base, the opportunities for innovation and value creation are significant,” he said.

He added that Henkel plans to strengthen its market position, deepen local innovation capabilities and accelerate sustainable growth across its businesses. “Together, we will continue advancing solutions that help build, maintain, and improve the industries that power India’s future,” Ingle said.

Henkel reported global sales of about €20.5 billion in fiscal 2025 and adjusted operating profit of around €3 billion. In India, the company operates five manufacturing facilities, two innovation centres and a Global Technology Center, employing more than 1,700 people across the country.
