Mercedes-Benz India reported its highest-ever revenue in 2025, fuelled by strong demand for top-end luxury vehicles, rising electric vehicle (EV) sales, and robust growth in its high-performance AMG portfolio, even as overall volumes remained largely stable. However, the Indian arm of the Stuttgart-based firm didn’t disclose its net profit and turnover.
The German automaker retailed 19,007 vehicles in 2025, slightly below the 19,565 units sold in 2024. However, a strategic focus on higher-priced models helped offset volume pressures. The top-end vehicle (TEV) segment grew 11% year-on-year, contributing 25% of total sales.
The company’s Managing Director and CEO Santosh Iyer said 2026 would be an “action-packed year,” marked by new product launches, expanded local manufacturing, and network investments, as the company sharpens its focus on India’s top-end luxury market.
The German luxury carmaker’s battery electric vehicle (BEV) portfolio expanded 12%, now accounting for 20% of all top-end sales. Around 70% of BEVs sold were priced between ₹1.25 crore and ₹3.1 crore, reflecting strong customer preference for models such as the EQS SUV, EQS Sedan, Mercedes-Maybach EQS SUV, and G580.

Meanwhile, entry-level luxury segment volumes fell 20%, reducing its share to 13% of total sales, in line with the company’s strategy of prioritizing value over volume.
According to the company, a significant milestone for India was the local manufacturing of the Mercedes-Maybach GLS, making the country the first market outside the US to produce the ultra-luxury SUV domestically. This move has propelled India into the top five global markets for Maybach, improving delivery timelines and reinforcing its strategic importance in the brand’s global footprint.
Looking ahead, Mercedes-Benz India plans to launch 12 new products in 2026, including top-end vehicles and new EV models, such as the CLA BEV featuring the MB.OS operating system.
To support EV adoption, the company introduced ‘MB.CHARGE Public’, providing access to over 9,000 DC charging points across India through a single digital platform, available at no additional cost to existing Mercedes-Benz BEV customers.
