Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Ltd . (SWREL) has reported its highest-ever unexecuted order value (UOV) of ₹13,000 crore in the first quarter of FY27, driven by strong order inflows in both domestic and international markets.
The renewable engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) company said the record order book provides strong revenue visibility and underscores sustained demand for its clean energy projects.
A key highlight during the quarter was the company's entry into a marquee international project through a 50:50 joint venture with one of Egypt's leading contractors. The joint venture secured a contract worth approximately $560 million for the West Minya Solar Power Project in Egypt's Minya Governorate.
The project involves the development of a 1,000 MW-AC solar photovoltaic plant integrated with a 600 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS). Upon completion, it is expected to be among Egypt's largest utility-scale renewable energy projects.
On the domestic front, the company said its EPC business continued to drive growth, with an order book of ₹7,900 crore, providing healthy revenue visibility. Gross margins remained steady in the 9-10% range.
"We remain confident about our prospects because the company's UOV is robust. We expect this growth to reflect in the top line and bottom line in the months ahead. The growing order book is a testimony to the confidence our customers repose in us. We are confident that our experienced and competent workforce will deliver projects on schedule while adhering to committed timelines," said Chandra Kishore Thakur, Global CEO, Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Group.
The company also said it has a bid pipeline exceeding 27.7 GW, supported by a diversified business spanning solar, wind, battery energy storage systems and third-party operations and maintenance (O&M) services. The diversified portfolio is expected to support future order inflows and strengthen its position in the renewable energy EPC segment.
Shares of the company were down 6.82% at ₹223.30 on the BSE on Thursday.
