T-Hub has signed a strategic partnership on Thursday with the Directorate of Information Technology, Tripura government, to build a structured and long-term startup ecosystem in the state, as regional innovation hubs gain policy backing and investor attention.

The collaboration aims to translate Tripura’s startup policy intent into implementation on the ground. Under the agreement, T-Hub will work with the Directorate of Information Technology, the nodal agency for technology-led initiatives under the Industries and Commerce Department, to design and operationalise structured incubation frameworks and institutional support systems.

Tripura’s startup landscape has seen steady traction, with recognised startups rising an estimated 66% over the past five years across technology, services, and emerging sectors. The state is looking to formalise this growth through dedicated infrastructure and ecosystem partnerships.

As part of the engagement, T-Hub will support the development of the Incubation Centre and Innovation Park, prepare Detailed Project Reports, and roll out acceleration programmes. The scope also includes mentor exchange initiatives, leadership workshops, startup showcases, and curated investor connect platforms.

The partnership was formalised during the launch of Tripura’s new innovation and incubation initiatives, including T-NEST (Tripura Nurturing Entrepreneurship and Startups), positioned as the state’s flagship incubation hub. The initiative marks a shift towards building institutional capacity and enabling founders to scale through structured programmes rather than standalone incentives.

The collaboration aligns with the New Sector Agnostic Tripura Startup Policy and complements the Union Budget 2026–27’s emphasis on strengthening entrepreneurship and digital infrastructure in the Northeastern region.

Jeya Ragul Geshan B, IFS, Director (IT) and Head, Startup Tripura, Directorate of Information Technology, Tripura government, said the partnership reflects the state’s commitment to building a future-ready startup ecosystem anchored in institutional frameworks and founder-focused support systems.

“Through this collaboration, Tripura is positioning itself to emerge as a model for innovation-led governance. By accelerating capacity building, strengthening incubation infrastructure, and integrating entrepreneurs into national and global networks, we aim to create a sustainable, technology-driven growth engine for the state,” he said.

Kavikrut, CEO of T-Hub, said the next phase of India’s startup growth will depend on how effectively regional ecosystems are developed. “At T-Hub, we have built frameworks that enable founders to access capital, markets, partnerships and mentorship. Our partnership with Tripura underlines our commitment to ensuring founders from all regions can compete at a global level,” he said.

T-Hub, which houses more than 2,000 startups across deep tech, semiconductors, aerospace, artificial intelligence, and other emerging sectors, brings experience in building scalable ecosystem models. For Tripura, the collaboration is expected to help formalise incubation processes, deepen market access and attract early-stage capital, strengthening its position within India’s broader innovation narrative.
