Meet Abhiuday & Leva Chandra, founders of Dinari Jewels and “Gingo” App (Astrology & Well-being). “We were basically lawyers and we turned towards entrepreneurship without any experience of doing business. We did a post-graduation together in 2012 in Germany, that’s where we met. We were just friends back then. It was only in 2016 when out of pure serendipity we got together, got married, and thought of starting Dinari Jewels in 2017.”

In just four years Dinari Jewels is a European jewellery brand now. It has a retail presence and customer base that spread across 27 countries. As Abhiuday describes, “something uncanny happened back in 2009 which paved the way to start Gingo in 2020. On a random day in 2009 I had been waiting for a long time to meet a friend. I happened to lurch over an astrologer’s shop and just to skip my time I stepped in to know about my future. I was completely unprepared to hear what was coming next. When my turn came, the astrologer asked for my birth details and entered it into a software to generate my birth chart. The astrologer asked me what I do in life. I said I’m pursuing a degree in law at the moment. The astrologer replied, ‘you will do business in your life. You will deal with things which are found under the earth, it could be metal or even mystics, but you’ll have many sources of income.’ I anxiously reacted to tell him that I am studying at the best law school and my life path is already set to become a lawyer. I asked him to tell me something else, maybe about my marriage. He replied ‘You’re in a toxic relationship and it’ll end in the future. You’ll be with someone who is extremely talented, possessing a great sense of design and aesthetics.’ It was still heart wrenching to hear it because I had been in that relationship for quite long. Its uncanny because everything that astrologer predicted came true – I did get married to someone who is a designer, my first job after law school was in a steel company, followed by starting Dinari Jewels which is indeed connected to metals and gemstones and now I am additionally getting into occult. My experience with that astrologer was so momentous and surreal that it motivated me to start Gingo, so that every person can have access to the kind of astrologer I once did.
