As India continues to be the world’s fastest-growing major economy, Fortune India presents its special issue on the nation’s Top 100 Billionaires. Curated in partnership with Waterfield Advisors, this year’s list reflects a slight decline in the number of dollar billionaires—from 185 to 182—even as the entry threshold for the Top 100 rose to ₹24,283 crore, up from ₹22,739 crore last year. In a tweet on Friday, Dhindsa said the Gurugram-based startup has partnered with Unicorn Infosolutions, a premium Apple reseller with 33 stores all over India, to bring Apple iPhone and accessories to Blinkit customers within minutes.
The service, for now, is available in Delhi and Mumbai. He says customers having the latest Blinkit app version on their phones can buy the latest iPhone offering from Apple.
"iPhone 14 in minutes! We have partnered with @UnicornAPR to bring Apple iPhone and accessories to Blinkit customers within minutes. Available in Delhi and Mumbai for now. Update to the latest @letsblinkit app version on your iOS and Android phones to buy," he tweets.
Zomato had the acquisition of e-grocery firm Blinkit for ₹4,447 crore in May 2022. The deal was aimed at exploiting online grocery retail, a business segment that has seen robust growth during Covid.
Ever since then, Blinkit has come up with ‘innovative’ plans to capture higher market share and progress towards profitability.
Last month, Blinkit had said it'll deliver printouts at doorsteps in minutes. The service will be initially available in a few areas, including Gurugram, but soon it'll be launched in Delhi-NCR and other big cities.
The Blinkit parent company Zomato also launched a long-distance or inter-city food delivery service last month. The food delivery service called – 'Intercity Legends' will allow Zomato customers to order "legendary dishes" from famous cities and those food items will be delivered to customers via flight and reach their doorstep by the "very next day".
Blinkit was also among the first ones to start the 10-minute grocery delivery trend, soon others also followed the line. Zomato officially entered the 10-minute delivery space in March 2022 by launching a pilot.
Meanwhile, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max are available in deep purple, silver, gold, and space black in 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage capacities.
