Reliance Jio customers across various regions, including Mumbai, encountered significant connectivity issues today. Many users faced widespread network problems, such as difficulties accessing social media platforms and reported challenges with mobile internet access and frequent call drops. According to a Reuters report citing sources, a fire at a Reliance Jio data centre caused a nationwide network outage on Tuesday. The fire has been contained, and operations are expected to resume soon, according to Reuters.

Downdetector, which monitors outages, registered over 10,000 reports of network errors from Jio customers, indicating a significant disruption, as the platform only reports incidents when the number of problem reports far exceeds the typical volume for that time of day.

Data indicates that 68% of users reported issues with their mobile network, 37% experienced problems with mobile internet, and 14% faced challenges with JioFiber connectivity.

Reliance Jio confirmed that the outage was due to technical issues and that it has now been resolved. "This morning, some Jio customers in Mumbai faced problems in availing seamless services on account of minor technical issues. The same have been resolved, and seamless services of Jio have been fully restored. We regret the inconvenience to our subscribers," Reliance Jio spokesperson says in a statement.
