Fortune India MPW: Smriti Irani presented Fortune India’s Most Powerful Awards to winners

Smriti Irani, the Union Minister for Women and Child Development, presented Fortune India’s Most Powerful Awards event in Mumbai last week. Fortune India's Most Powerful Women in Business acknowledged the path-breaking contribution of the country's most influential women leaders in business, economy and government. The MPW platform brought the spotlight on those leaders who are an inspiration for the entire generation of business leaders.

Nita Ambani, Director, Reliance Industries and Chairperson, Reliance Foundation received the first Fortune India’s Most Powerful Women Awards.

Other winners of the Fortune India Most Powerful Women Awards were Isha Ambani, Director, Reliance Jio and Reliance Retail;  Aparna Bawa, COO & Interim Chief Legal Officer, Zoom Video Communications; Bela Bajaria, Head of Global TV, Netflix; Aparna Purohit, Head of Indian Originals, Amazon Prime Video India;  Monika Shergill, Vice-President, Content at Netflix India ; Alka Mittal, Chairperson and Managing Director, ONGC; and Zia Mody, Managing Partner, AZB & Partners.

In the tech sector, Rekha M Menon, Chairperson and Senior Managing Director, Accenture; and Roshni Nadar, Chairperson, HCL Technologies received Fortune India’s Most Powerful Women Awards.

In the pharma and healthcare sector, Suneeta Reddy, Managing Director and Sangita Reddy, Joint Managing Director, Apollo Hospitals; Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, Executive Chairperson, Biocon and Alisha Moopen, Deputy MD, Aster DM Healthcare received Fortune India’s Most Powerful Women Awards.

In the entertainment segment Ektaa Kapoor, joint MD and Creative Director, Balaji Telefilms, Anjali Bansal, and actress Priyanka Chopra received Fortune India’s Most Powerful Women Awards.

Ghazal Alagh, Co-Founder and Chief Innovation Officer, Mamaearth; Padmaja Chunduru, MD & CEO, NSDL; Schauna Chauhan, CEO, ParleAgro, Nadia Chauhan, Jt MD and CMO, ParleAgro and  Divya Gokulnath, Co-Founder of BYJU’s also received Fortune India’s Most Powerful Awards.

Apart from this, Zarin Daruwala, CEO, Standard Chartered Bank (India); Pallavi Shroff, Managing Partner, Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas; Vibha Padalkar, MD & CEO, HDFC Life; Anjali Bansal, Founding Partner, Avaana Capital; Devina Mehra, Founder, Chairperson and MD, First Global, and fashion designer Anamika Khanna were the recipients of Fortune India Most Powerful Women Awards.
