Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday said India has the requisite capacity to grow and that nothing can stop it from achieving the economic prowess it deserves. Naidu also said that by 2047, Andhra Pradesh will become the best state in the country.

“India has several advantages. Economic reforms began in 1991. Secondly, we have a first-mover advantage in IT, which has given Indians an edge. Thirdly, we have a demographic dividend. We have one more advantage: the right time, the right plan, and the right man—PM Narendra Modi. India has the capacity to grow. Nobody can stop India. We have a greater role to play, according to me,” Naidu said at the launch of the report by the Task Force on Economic Development for Swarna Andhra Pradesh @ 2047.

“We are working towards Swarna Andhra Pradesh @ 2047. By 2047, Andhra Pradesh will be the best state in India,” Naidu added. He headed the task force, which was prepared in collaboration with CII.

Tata Sons Chairman N. Chandrasekaran is the co-chair of the task force, while several other industry leaders like S. N. Subrahmanyan, CMD of L&T; Venu Srinivasan, Chairman Emeritus of TVS Motor Company; Preetha Reddy, Executive Vice Chairperson of Apollo Hospitals; and GMR Group Chairman G. M. Rao were members of the task force.

“India is going through a phenomenal change. To me, it is not just about economic growth. Fundamentally, India is going through a mindset change. We want to do whatever it takes to lead. That is the mood of the nation. Credit goes to Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” Chandrasekaran said at the launch of the task force report.
