Student enrolment in higher education has increased to nearly 4.1 crore in FY21 from 3.9 crore in FY20, according to Economic Survey 2023. Enrolment has been rising consistently since FY15, growing by 72 lakh (21%). The female enrolment too has increased to 2 crore in FY21 from 1.9 crore in FY20.
