Gifting as a concept is ingrained in every Indian—be it a box of mithai, dry fruits or even fruits as a healthier option, one seldom goes empty-handed to visit friends and family, especially during festivals. However, the tradition of gifting mithai has changed its course lately. People are not only exploring options, they are searching for meaning and experience as a truly memorable gift.
The Indian gifting market, as per a Research and Markets report, was valued at $75.16 billion in 2024, and is expected to reach $92.32 billion by 2030, which includes a wide range of products, including gift cards, flowers, chocolates, jewellery, and personalised gifts. The convenience of e-commerce and online shopping has also aided in the growth of this segment. Riding this wave is RPSG Group’s The Gift Studio, which is eyeing a ₹100 crore revenue by the end of FY26. The goal is to become a ₹300 crore brand in the next three years.

2025 is shaping up to be the year of electric car sales. In a first, India’s electric vehicles (EV) industry crossed the sales milestone of 100,000 units in FY25, fuelled by a slew of launches by major players, including Tata Motors, M&M, Ashok Leyland, JSW MG Motor, Hyundai, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz. “What began as a response to a growing demand for meaningful, curated gifting products across our stores at Nature’s Basket, has now evolved into a platform that marries digital ease with design-led experiences,” says Shivika Goenka, founder, The Gift Studio.
“We are noticing a shift from predictable and one-size-fits-all gifts, towards more curated and design-forward experiences. Younger audiences increasingly look for frequent, thoughtful gestures, while larger occasions continue to drive traditional demand. At the same time, preferences for artisanal, mindful and lifestyle-driven options are beginning to shape gifting choices,” she further explains.
The gifting demand spikes by 10x-15x during the festive season, and The Gift Studio, says Goenka, has been trying to play the lead in coming up with more meaningful gifting options that also have a high design quotient. The Gift Studio for the upcoming festive season has collaborated with designer, Masaba Gupta, to launch two signature hampers – Relaxation & Unwind and Celebration. “Our collaboration with Masaba Gupta is designed to bring together bold, contemporary culture and conscious curation, especially during the biggest festival (Diwali) in the country.”
“The hampers are not just products but experiences that reflect our belief in making gifting stylish, meaningful and memorable,” she adds. The key clientele of The Gift Studio are corporates. “Gifting has become an important brand touchpoint, and curated hampers allow companies to convey care and creativity in a way that goes beyond conventional choices.”
