Directed by Nikkhil Advani, the period drama is inspired by Sanjeev Sanyal's book Revolutionaries: The Other Story of How India Won Its Freedom. The series follows four young revolutionaries—Rash Behari Bose, Sachindra Nath Sanyal, Pratibha Lahiri and Bagha Jatin—as they turn to armed resistance in their fight against British rule. Bhuvan Bam, Rohit Saraf, Pratibha Ranta and Gurfateh Pirzada headline the cast.

Another major release is Ghamasaan, streaming on ZEE5 from September 11. Directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia, the crime drama stars Pratik Gandhi as IPS officer Aditya and Arshad Warsi as feared dacoit Maharaj. For viewers looking for something lighter, Go Team! streams on Netflix from September 11. The Spanish dark comedy follows employees of a struggling cheese company who are sent on a team-building retreat just as layoffs threaten their jobs. What begins as an attempt to improve workplace relationships soon turns into a chaotic fight involving rivalries, office politics and survival.

Netflix also has Stolen Heartbeats, a supernatural medical thriller releasing on September 11. The story follows Anabel, who is left in a coma after a brutal attack, and Rafael, a nurse with the ability to hear and communicate with the dead. As Rafael investigates what happened to her, the pair uncover secrets surrounding the attack and a dangerous conspiracy.

Meanwhile, Prince of Mollywood streams on JioHotstar from September 11. The Malayalam comedy-drama follows Firoz, a young man determined to become a movie star despite opposition from his wealthy father. His ambition to enter the film industry also brings a complicated love triangle into the picture.

For younger viewers and families, Jungle Tales With Mowgli arrives on JioHotstar on September 12. The animated series follows Mowgli and his animal friends as they navigate the Indian jungle, facing challenges and dangers with the help of Baloo and Bagheera.

The biggest Hindi theatrical release this weekend is Haiwaan, which hits cinemas on September 11. Directed by Priyadarshan, the action thriller stars Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan in contrasting roles. Saif plays a visually impaired father trying to protect his daughter, while Akshay takes on a darker role. Boman Irani and Shriya Pilgaonkar also feature, with Mohanlal making a special appearance. Tamil cinema brings back Karthi in Sardar 2, the sequel to the 2022 spy thriller Sardar. Directed by P.S. Mithran, the film sees Karthi return in a dual role as Agent Sardar Chandra Bose and Vijay Prakash, with the story unfolding across two timelines. S.J. Suryah, Malavika Mohanan, Ashika Ranganath and Rajisha Vijayan also feature. The film released on September 10.

Also releasing in Tamil is Mandaadi, a sports action drama directed by Mathimaran Pugazhendhi. Soori stars as Muthukaali, a skilled boat racer who returns to the sport and takes charge of a new team preparing for a major traditional boat-racing competition.
