As the Adani Group enters a new phase of expansion, the next-gen is taking on strategic roles across businesses. Karan, Jeet and Sagar Adani are reshaping the group’s growth agenda while building businesses for the future. When Karan Adani, the eldest son of chairman Gautam Adani, joined the business in 2009, Adani Ports and SEZ Ltd (APSEZ) was a single-port company handling 20-25 MMT of cargo annually. Today, it operates a network of 15 ports and terminals with a combined capacity of 627 MMTPA, 15 lakh sq. feet of warehousing space, and 11 logistics parks. “We are not just going to be only a ports company, but more of a solutions firm to our customers. We will give them a solution for their logistics needs all the way to the factory gate, and develop the infrastructure we need to, in the hinterland—be it rail, warehousing, or trucking solution,” says Karan. APSEZ reported FY26 revenues of `38,736 crore, up 25% YoY, while Ebitda rose 20% to `22,851 crore. Beyond APSEZ, Karan serves as a director on the board of Ambuja Cements. While Karan is redefining the group’s logistics ecosystem, Sagar is powering its clean energy ambitions. The executive director of Adani Green Energy Ltd is credited with building and executing the company’s renewable energy portfolio. Adani Green Energy operates close to 20 GW of renewable energy capacity and is on course to expand this to 50 GW by 2030, to become the world’s largest renewable energy firm. “Renewable energy reaches its full potential when paired with technologies such as battery energy storage systems and pumped storage projects. They make clean power affordable and available round the clock,” says Sagar. Jeet, meanwhile, is building the group’s future-facing infrastructure platforms. Gautam Adani’s youngest son shoulders some of the group’s most future-focussed businesses spanning airports, digital platforms, data centres, defence, and aerospace. As director of Adani Airport Holdings Ltd, Jeet is spearheading the development of one of the world’s largest greenfield airports at Navi Mumbai (Panvel). “We are creating a network of integrated urban destinations where airports become catalysts for investment, employment, better passenger experiences and the long-term growth of the cities they serve,” says Jeet.
