Gujarat Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi on Monday said every rupee invested in the state was secure and assured of appropriate returns, as he invited industry to participate in Gujarat’s next phase of growth ahead of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2027.

Speaking at the New Delhi event, Sanghavi said Gujarat had become an example of “vision and execution”, with investors placing continued trust in the state over the past 25 years. “I invite industry to come and invest in Gujarat,” he said, adding that the state would work as a partner with investors.

Semiconductor push strengthens Gujarat’s case

Sanghavi highlighted Gujarat’s growing role in India’s semiconductor industry, saying six of the 12 semiconductor plants approved in the country are coming up in the state, while three have already started production.

The semiconductor push adds a new dimension to Gujarat’s established industrial base and reflects the state’s efforts to attract investment into sectors that are expected to shape future manufacturing and technology ecosystems.

Sanghavi said the journey from semiconductors to ports demonstrated the breadth of Gujarat’s investment proposition. He described the state as a first choice for investors, attributing this to 25 years of sustained confidence.

The state’s semiconductor ambitions are also being developed alongside its broader industrial infrastructure, giving investors access to manufacturing clusters, ports and related supply-chain opportunities.

‘Gujarat’ synonymous with investor trust

Sanghavi said Gujarat’s ability to convert its vision into execution had been central to building investor confidence. The state, he said, would continue to support businesses as a partner rather than merely as a destination for capital.

“Every rupee invested in Gujarat is secure and assured of appropriate returns,” Sanghavi said.

His comments came at the New Delhi curtain-raiser for the 11th Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, which is scheduled to begin on January 10, 2027. The summit is being positioned around Gujarat’s future growth opportunities, with emerging industries forming a key part of the state’s investment strategy.

With semiconductor manufacturing gaining momentum alongside Gujarat’s established strengths in ports and industrial infrastructure, Sanghavi said the state’s investment proposition reflected the trust built over 25 years.

The focus now is on carrying that confidence into the next generation of industries and strengthening Gujarat’s position as a destination for long-term investment.
