LIGHTS, CAMERA, DOUBLE CLICK. Enter Adobe Story, a cloud-based collaborative software application that helps integrate characters, locations, scene descriptions, and dialogue with production and post-production workflows. The beta version, free to try for a year, is already redefining work behind the scenes at film production units in the U.S. and the U.K. as well as television production houses in India.

Apart from efficiently managing video production, it allows scriptwriters to work on scenes from any data-enabled device, and even share their work with the team. The final script, which contains metadata for future searches, can also be imported to other digital imaging tools in Adobe Creative Suite 5, for on-location integration with videos. The editors no longer need to wade through terabytes of footage to match scenes with the screenplay.
