Under the E-2 visa, an investor gains the right to live and operate a business in the U.S. but does not become a permanent resident. Many investors use this as a quick entry into the U.S. as processing times can be as little as two weeks.

Canada offers great deals for migration as well. For those with business ownership or senior-level management experience, investors can invest as little as $150,000 CND into their own business in Canada to obtain residency and eventually citizenship.
