The development comes days after Twitter laid off 50% of its workforce or 3,700 employees of the company’s 7,500 total strength this month.
The layoffs announced by the global tech giants were on the cards, but the way the developments are unfolding an erosion of brand value at least in the short-term is imminent.
A majority of employees from the engineering, product, marketing and communications teams have been laid off, leaving Twitter with only around a dozen employees.
