The Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show (UPITS) 2026 is set to bring companies and business delegations from six countries as the state seeks to expand trade and investment links with overseas markets.
Vietnam, Japan, Singapore, Russia, Austria and Belarus will participate as partner countries at the third edition of UPITS, which will be held from September 25 to 29 at the India Expo Centre and Mart in Greater Noida.
Six countries to showcase products, technologies
The five-day event will feature country pavilions, business-to-business (B2B) meetings, country sessions and interactions between foreign delegations and businesses from Uttar Pradesh. The participating countries are expected to showcase products, technologies and investment opportunities across sectors ranging from mobility and manufacturing to pharmaceuticals, tourism and agriculture.
According to the partner country plan, Vietnam and Japan have been allocated 54 square metres each, while Singapore and Russia will have 36 square metres each and Austria 54 square metres. The proposed participation from these five countries includes 36 exhibitors and 100 buyers. Belarus will also participate as a partner country, with chief minister-level and B2B activities planned.
Foreign delegations are scheduled to interact with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on September 25. The delegations are expected to include ambassadors, high commissioners, trade commissioners, economic and commercial representatives and senior industry executives.
Among the officials expected to participate are Japan's ambassador to India Keiichi Ono, Singapore's high commissioner to India Simon Wong, Russia's trade commissioner Andrei Sobolev and Austria's trade commissioner and commercial counsellor Hans-Jorg Hortenagl.
Mobility, pharma, tourism among key sectors
Vietnam's participation will span aviation, tourism, agriculture, pharmaceuticals and cosmetics, food, textiles, garments, handicrafts and electric vehicles. Companies from the country's aviation, tourism, pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors have been invited to participate.
The Japan Pavilion will feature companies operating across technology and industrial segments, including Wacom India, Air and Water India, ITO EN, Sushi and More, Kito India and Taiyo India. Their areas of business include devices, industrial gas, tea and food products, lifting equipment and machinery components. The Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) will also provide information on investment and promotion policies.
Singaporean companies participating at the event will showcase products and solutions spanning video surveillance, soldering equipment and education. Russian companies will represent sectors including petrochemicals, industrial gas, laboratory equipment, diagnostic kits, oxygen solutions and recruitment services.
Austria's participation will include companies involved in forklifts and workshop equipment, intelligent transportation, decorative and lighting products, and mobility and transport systems.
B2B meetings to connect UP businesses with overseas firms
The event will also feature sector-specific business discussions. Vietnam has proposed a country session on 'Innovation Technologies and Tourism', while Austria is set to hold a knowledge session on leveraging India's free trade agreements for global business growth.
The B2B meetings are expected to provide a platform for Uttar Pradesh-based businesses to engage directly with overseas companies on potential partnerships and investment opportunities. The state has a large base of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), along with established clusters in handicrafts, textiles, food processing, agriculture-based products and manufacturing.
The participation of international buyers and companies is also aimed at creating potential overseas market linkages for products manufactured across Uttar Pradesh.
The 2026 edition comes as Uttar Pradesh seeks to attract more investment and expand its export base by strengthening links between local businesses and international markets. The state government has been positioning industrial infrastructure, investment facilitation and export promotion as key components of its economic strategy.
