Kia India revealed the first teaser of the new Kia Seltos ahead of its world premiere on December 10. The car, which was introduced in 2019 saw its last facelift in 2023.

As per the company’s statement, the SUV is marked with a sharper, more premium design language reflecting “a bold evolution of the iconic Seltos silhouette — now more dynamic, expressive, and future-ready.”

One of the distinct cosmetic changes are the lights—C-shaped LED day-time running lights (DRLs), with integrated turn signals and a light bar. The tail lights also see minor tweaks, though continuing with the horizontal light bar at the back as well.

In terms of exteriors, the SUV, rooted in Kia’s ‘Opposites United’ design philosophy would have newer proportions, a repurposed grille, along with other minor details to add muscle to its stance. The new Kia Digital Tiger Face grille sits on the front, complemented by the signature Star Map lighting, echoed at the rear.

In the teaser photos, flush door handles are introduced for the first time, along with dual-pane panoramic sunroof and blacked out pillars.

Mechanically, the car could continue with its current offerings—the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol, the 1.5-litre turbo petrol and the 1.5-litre diesel engines. In terms of transmissions, the SUV would come with manual, iMT, IVT and DCT gearbox choices. As per rumours, Kia may introduce a self-charging hybrid variant for the first time.

 The interiors of the 2025 Seltos were not revealed.

Taking a confident leap forward from its 2019 launch, the company says that the Seltos is now fully redesigned to lead and strengthen Kia’s presence in the rapidly growing mid-SUV segment in India.
