Special edition SUV debuts on Bastille Day in three powertrain options with prices ranging from ₹12.99 lakh to ₹15.39 lakh as Renault seeks to leverage the Duster brand's enduring recall in India.
Renault India has introduced the Duster Adventure Edition, a special edition of its flagship SUV, with prices starting at ₹12.99 lakh (ex-showroom), as the French automaker looks to capitalise on the enduring brand equity of one of India's most recognisable SUV nameplates. The limited edition has been launched in three variants, with prices going up to ₹15.39 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Adventure Edition was unveiled on Bastille Day by French Ambassador to India Thierry Mathou and Renault Group India CEO Stéphane Deblaise, underscoring the company's French heritage while celebrating a model that played a pivotal role in popularising the midsize SUV segment in India.
According to Renault India, the special edition differentiates itself through exclusive styling elements, including Adventure decals featuring topographical contour lines and the geographical coordinates of Leh (34.27 N, 77.60 E)—a reference to the demanding terrains where the Duster was extensively tested. It also receives exclusive Adventure embellishers and premium floor mats, it claimed.
The Renault Duster Adventure Edition will be offered with three powertrain options — Turbo TCe 100 MT, Turbo TCe 160 MT, and Turbo TCe 160 DCT. The variants are priced at ₹12.99 lakh, ₹13.99 lakh, and ₹15.39 lakh, respectively, under Renault's "All India One Price" strategy.
Commenting on the launch, Stéphane Deblaise, CEO, Renault Group India, said iconic vehicles are remembered not merely for their functionality but for the emotional connection they build with customers.
The Adventure Edition comes equipped with a 10.1-inch openR Link multimedia system, full LED headlamps, electric panoramic sunroof, powered tailgate, dual-zone automatic climate control, connected car technology through the My Renault app, and 17-inch alloy wheels.
"Iconic vehicles are remembered not simply for what they do, but for the place they earn in people's lives. Duster belongs to that rare category. Over the years, it became part of countless journeys and lasting memories for customers across India. The Adventure Edition celebrates the enduring connection that people continue to have with the Duster nameplate," Deblaise said.
Renault India manufactures its vehicles at its Oragadam facility near Chennai, which has an annual production capacity of 4.8 lakh units, and supports customers through a network of around 638 sales and service touchpoints, including more than 200 Workshop on Wheels locations across the country.
