A highlight will be the inauguration of the ₹8,070 crore Bairabi–Sairang rail line, connecting the Mizoram capital to the Indian Railways network for the first time. Other key projects in the state include the ₹500 crore Aizawl Bypass Road under the PM-DevINE scheme, new road and bridge works, a Khelo India Multipurpose Indoor Hall, an LPG bottling plant, and two residential schools aimed at improving education and youth development.

Later on, after his Mizoram trip, PM Modi will travel to Manipur. Here, he will lay the foundation store of projects worth ₹7,300 crore in Churachandpur, including five national highway works, the Manipur Urban Roads and Drainage Project, and the Manipur Infotech Development initiative. From here, he will travel to the capital, Imphal, where he is slated to inaugurate projects worth ₹1,200 crore, such as the new Civil Secretariat, IT SEZ, Police Headquarters, and women-run Ima markets in four districts.

PM Modi’s trip to Manipur is the first since the conflict, which broke out in 2023, tore the social fabric of the troubled North Eastern state, plunging it into a theatre of violence.
