Budget 2022: Food turns way pricier
Food inflation rose 7.69% in FY21. One reason for high food prices has been the steep rise in minimum support prices for various key crops such as paddy, jowar and bajra over the last couple of years. An expansionary budget for pushing growth will increase food inflation further.
