A major contributor to India's top ranking is the strength of its workforce. The country recorded a workforce readiness score of 89, the highest among all destinations assessed and 13 points ahead of Brazil and the Philippines, which jointly occupied the second spot on this metric.

The report suggests that India's large and adaptable talent base continues to be a key factor attracting global companies looking to expand technology, business-process and digital transformation operations. The country's ability to continuously upskill its workforce has further reinforced its standing in the global services landscape.

India was also the only destination to achieve scores above 85 in both workforce readiness and enterprise preparedness, indicating strong alignment between available talent and industry requirements.

Enterprises accelerate technology-led transformation

India scored 88 in enterprise preparedness, comfortably ahead of Brazil and Malaysia, which both scored 77. The ranking reflects the extent to which organisations operating in the country have integrated advanced technologies and digital capabilities into their operations.

The study also highlighted India's growing talent pipeline. The country ranked second in the education and future-skills category with a score of 83, narrowly trailing Malaysia at 84. The performance points to sustained investments in higher education, technical training and industry-oriented skill development programmes.

Notably, India was the only country to rank either first or second across three of the four key parameters evaluated in the index, underscoring the breadth of its competitive strengths.

The nearly 44-point lead over the region's next-best performer highlights India's dominance in the outsourcing sector and reinforces its position as the preferred destination for global companies seeking scale, talent availability and technological capabilities.
