TVS Supply Chain Solutions partners Italy’s ALA Group to target defence offsets and aerospace production logistics as India’s $28 billion aerospace and defence market gathers momentum

TVS Supply Chain Solutions has signed a memorandum of understanding with Italy-headquartered ALA Group to jointly pursue opportunities in India’s estimated $28 billion aerospace and defence supply chain market, marking its formal entry into a high-margin and compliance-intensive vertical.
The agreement establishes a strategic framework to collaborate on integrated aerospace and defence programmes, with an initial focus on India and scope to explore other geographies over time. Defence offset programmes are expected to be a key area of engagement as global manufacturers deepen localisation.
TVS SCS will draw on its defence and utilities supply chain operations in the United Kingdom, which account for more than 30% of its UK business. The company manages around 250,000 NATO Stock Numbers and fulfils approximately 2.5 million defence-related demands annually through a supplier network of over 5,000 vendors. Its aerospace, defence and utilities vertical currently generates about $140 million in annual revenue.
ALA Group, which reported revenues of $345 million in 2024, brings domain expertise across aerospace production supply chains, along with established relationships with OEMs and operators across Europe, the US and the UK.
R. Dinesh, Executive Chairman of TVS Supply Chain Solutions, said the collaboration aligns with the company’s strategy of building globally relevant capabilities in regulated sectors. “By combining our scale and digital platforms with ALA’s aerospace and defence expertise, we are positioning ourselves to participate in the evolving global aerospace and defence supply chain ecosystem,” he said.
Ravi Viswanathan, Managing Director, described India’s aerospace and defence sectors as being at an “inflection point”, driven by indigenisation and global supply chain realignment.
Vittorio Genna, CEO and Co-Founder of ALA Group, said the partnership creates a platform to support both civil and defence aerospace programmes across regions.
The collaboration will span production support, spare parts distribution, inventory optimisation, defence-grade logistics engineering, and aftermarket and MRO services, targeting OEMs, operators and government stakeholders seeking compliant and digitally enabled supply chain models.
