Passenger vehicles saw a growth of 18.7%, from 3,47,522 units sold in November 2024 to 4,12,405 in the same month in 2025, as per the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (Siam). Two-wheelers and three-wheelers, along with passenger vehicles, marked the highest-ever sales of November in 2025.
In the two-wheeler segment, scooters continue to outshine motorcycles, rising 29.4% on a YoY basis, from last year’s monthly sale of 5,68,580 units to 7,35,753 units this year. Motorcycles crossed the 10-lakh unit mark, rising by 17.5% from November 2024 and selling 11,63,751 units in November 2025. Total two-wheeler sales stood at 19,44,475 units, representing a 21.2% increase.

In terms of exports, there was a 96.3% jump seen in the three-wheeler segment, from 23,439 units last year in November to 46,013 units now. Passenger vehicle exports advanced by 39.8% to 84,646 units. Two-wheeler shipments jumped 30.1%, reaching 4,71,012 units.
Utility vehicles, dominated by MPVs and SUVs, remained the top choice for Indian buyers, recording the highest subsegment growth of 5.1% year-on-year for the April–November period. Passenger cars, which are predominantly 5-seaters, recorded a fall of 1.5% at the same time. Scooters saw a rise of 10.3% in terms of sales, while demand for motorcycles fell marginally by 0.3%.
Interestingly, while automakers saw record sales in October due to revived festive demand and GST 2.0 reforms, with November continuing with the trend, some companies noted a softer April-November period this year as compared to 2024. Geopolitical risks, worries over Trump-era tariff policies, and muted consumer sentiment dampened demand in the first half of the year, setting back sales despite a later festive-season rebound.
Maruti Suzuki India saw a marginal decline of 0.2%; Hyundai Motor India and Honda India fell by 6.7% and 8.5%, respectively, in sales. The only companies to see a positive trend in sales were Mahindra and Mahindra (+17.9%), Kia India (+9%) and Skoda India, which saw a staggering rise of 115.3%.
Commenting on November 2025 performance, Mr Rajesh Menon, Director General, Siam, said, “Following the festive demand and support from the Government’s progressive GST 2.0 reforms, the Indian auto industry continued with the sales momentum in November 2025. Passenger vehicles, two-wheelers and three-wheelers marked the highest ever sales of November in 2025. Passenger vehicles recorded sales of 4.12 lakh units, with a growth of 18.7%; two-wheelers posted sales of 19.44 lakh units, with a growth of 21.2%; and the three-wheeler segment registered sales of 72 thousand units, growing by 21.3%, over November of 2024. Industry is optimistic that the continued supportive policy reforms and improved market sentiments would continue this growth trajectory well into 2026.”
