As India’s growth story gains momentum and the number of billionaires rises, the country’s luxury market is seeing a boom like never before, with the taste for luxury moving beyond the metros. From high-end watches and jewellery to lavish residences and luxurious holidays, Indians are splurging like never before. Storied luxury brands are rushing in to satiate this demand, often roping in Indian celebs as ambassadors.
Domestic CV sales too were moderate, rising, marginally by 1% to 2,49,681 units in 2025, from 2,48,034 units last year. Exports again mitigated the total CV sales, contributing 51% increase to 1,37,898 units from 91,401 units in same time period.
Domestic sales did not grow as expected, despite the anticipated boost from GST reforms announced on September 3 and were effective since September 22, as Bajaj Auto’s two-wheeler portfolio primarily falls under the sub-350cc category.
Bajaj Auto shares were trading flat with no change from previous closing, at ₹8,677.00 apiece at the time of reporting.
