In a strategic move to shake up the mid-size adventure (ADV) motorcycle segment, Mahindra -owned Classic Legends has launched the 2025 Yezdi Adventure at an aggressively priced ₹2.14–2.27 lakh (ex-showroom), undercutting key rivals by nearly ₹80,000. The price positioning is designed to make the bike a compelling alternative to segment leaders like the Royal Enfield Himalayan and Suzuki V-Strom SX. “Our product is strong on price point; once markets stabilise, we expect good traction,” said Anupam Thareja, MD and co-founder of Classic Legends, signalling the company’s intent to grab volume in the fast-growing ADV segment.
The 2025 Yezdi Adventure retains its core design philosophy with a classic ADV silhouette, while introducing several new features aimed at improving rider comfort and handling. Notable among them is a new asymmetric twin-LED headlamp design—inspired by the now-discontinued BMW F 800 GS—adding to its rugged, purpose-driven styling. The motorcycle also sports a rally-style beak, updated graphics, a reinforced exoskeleton, and twin-pod LED taillamps, ensuring high visibility and a bold road presence.
Mechanically, the motorcycle is powered by the same 334cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that delivers a power output of 29.6 PS and 29.9 Nm of torque. However, Classic Legends has fine-tuned the gear ratios for better touring performance and introduced gear-based fuel mapping for smoother and more predictable power delivery, an upgrade tailored for long-distance riding.
To support ownership, the Yezdi Adventure is backed by the Jawa Yezdi BSA Ownership Assurance Programme, which includes a four-year/50,000-km standard warranty, extended warranty options up to six years, and one year of roadside assistance. The brand also currently has over 300 touchpoints across India and is aggressively expanding to reach 500 outlets before the upcoming festive season. This growth follows an 80-20 strategy, aimed at covering 80% of the market volume with high-quality dealerships that maintain brand experience standards.
According to Sharad Agrawal, Chief Business Officer at Classic Legends, the adventure touring segment is growing far faster than the classic motorcycle category. “In the classic segment, growth is about 9–10%, while the adventure tourer category should grow at about 25–26%,” he noted.
Speaking about exports and business abroad, Thareja highlighted that the company’s export operations have faced significant challenges recently, especially with U.S. President Donald Trump’s tariffs and the geopolitical tensions. “Borders are closed right now, so exports are practically zero,” he says. Additionally, inventory backlogs with distributors in key markets like Europe and geopolitical uncertainties have further complicated export growth. Despite these hurdles, Anupam remains optimistic about future opportunities. “The company is actively working to expand exports to seven countries, including the U.K., U.S., Australia, and Japan,” he says. On the domestic front, plans are afoot to launch four new models and reach a target of 500 touchpoints throughout the country by the year-end.
