The Mahindra group highlighted its commitment to develop advanced technologies to neutralise drones threats. 

Mahindra Group has announced collaboration with US-based Anduril Industries to co-produce cutting-edge Autonomous Maritime Systems, advanced AI-enabled Counter Unmanned Aerial System (CUAS) technologies and next-gen Command and Control (C2) software, redefining the defence sector.

The partnership between Mahindra Group and Anduril Industries aims to build stronger regional security and strengthen maritime operations capabilities. It centres on crafting modular Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs) designed for rapid deployment in Security, Surveillance, Survey, and Reconnaissance missions, transforming underwater operational capabilities.

The Mahindra group highlighted its commitment to develop advanced technologies to neutralise drones threats. “It also aims to develop advanced Counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems (CUAS) technologies capable of detecting and neutralising drone threats, providing enhanced protection against unmanned aerial systems.”

Simultaneously, the collaboration is set to develop a cutting-edge sensor fusion platform to integrate multiple sensor technologies into an API (Application Programming Interface) architecture, with an aim to accelerate advanced tech adoption across complex security programmes.

This collaboration combines our deep engineering expertise with Anduril’s innovative solutions to deliver cutting-edge capabilities that enhance security and address emerging threats,” said Vinod Sahay, Group Executive Board Member, Mahindra Group.

Mahindra Group announced its Q3 results in early February, reporting a net profit of ₹3,181 crore for the quarter ended December 2024, marking a 20% YoY rise. The surge in profit was attributed to significant growth in Auto and Farm businesses. Revenue from operations jumped 18% amounting to ₹41,464 crore for the same quarter, up from ₹35,218 crore in the same quarter of the previous year. The Auto and Farm segments maintained strong growth and margins, recording a 16% rise in profits.
