Tira, Reliance Retail’s pioneering beauty platform, said on Friday that it is foraying into the makeup category with the launch of its first beauty product—the Tira Lip Plumping Peptint. The launch marks a significant milestone in Tira’s expansion of its own-brand portfolio and builds on its successful forays into skincare, wellness, and nail care.

Formulated in Italy, Tira’s Peptint is a tinted lip treatment that delivers a blend of care, comfort, and colour. According to Tira, it is enriched with a nourishing blend of Shea Butter, Murumuru Butter, Peptide Complex, Hyaluronic Acid, and Vitamins C & E. The Peptint offers deep moisturisation and a plumping effect, giving lips a fuller, smoother, and more nourished appearance with every use.

In September, L’Oréal Paris teamed up with Tira for the Paris Fashion Week. As part of the exclusive collaboration, the two companies have unveiled ‘Runway to Paris’, an initiative that highlights the future of Indian fashion and beauty and merges Parisian allure with Indian creativity. The initiative celebrates inclusivity and individuality, offering young Indian designers a global platform.

In August, pop icon Rihanna’s globally acclaimed beauty brands, Fenty Beauty and Fenty Skin, were made available through an exclusive partnership with Sephora India and Reliance Retail’s beauty platform, Tira. The launch spans over 50 stores across 16 cities, along with online availability on Sephora India and Tira’s websites.

Fenty Beauty made headlines in 2017 with its launch of foundation in more than 50 shades, pushing inclusivity to the forefront of the beauty industry. Fenty Skin followed in 2020, offering vegan, cruelty-free skincare products designed to suit a wide range of skin types and tones.

The Indian rollout includes Fenty’s bestsellers such as the Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Foundation, Gloss Bomb Lip Luminizer, and Total Cleans’r. The products are known for combining high-performance formulas with ease of use. The India distribution is managed by Asia’s leading luxury beauty brand partner, LUXASIA.

Reliance Retail’s omnichannel beauty arm expanded beyond beauty in April to launch a lifestyle merchandise line, curated with beauty-adjacent essentials. With this launch, Tira took a significant step beyond traditional beauty offerings, setting its sights on building a broader lifestyle ecosystem that integrates seamlessly into consumers’ everyday lives. This expansion reflects Tira’s commitment to blending beauty with lifestyle through thoughtfully designed, functional products that are both practical and aesthetically appealing.
