Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday held deliberation with the council of ministers on reforms, ease of living and ease of doing business. The meeting was held in the evening yesterday.
In a post on X, PM Modi said he had a fruitful meeting of the council of ministers yesterday. "We exchanged perspectives and best practices relating to boosting ‘Ease of Living, ‘Ease of Doing Business’ and how to further reforms in order to realise our shared dream of a Viksit Bharat," PM Modi said in the post.
PM stressed on the next generation reforms during the meeting and called for use of alternative energy sources in the wake of the disruption caused by West Asia crisis.
The meeting at Delhi’s Seva Teerth — the first full Council of Ministers gathering this year — comes at a time when geopolitical tensions are rattling global energy markets and raising concerns over supply-chain disruptions.
Key ministries and departments gave presentation to the prime minister on how to minimise the impact of external shocks on businesses and consumers.
All Cabinet ministers, ministers of state with independent charge and ministers of state were present in the meeting.
Earlier, ahead of the meeting ministries had submitted detailed reports to the Cabinet Secretariat outlining reform measures undertaken over the past two years and the progress of flagship schemes.
