In a first-of-its-kind pivot, quick-commerce giant Blinkit has rolled out its 10-minute ambulance service, with the first five ambulances now on Gurugram roads starting today, the company said today. Consumers will be able to call for an ambulance via Blinkit as soon as the service becomes operational in their areas. Blinkit has said the service will be available at an affordable cost.

The food-delivery giant informs that this service is available in selected areas of Gurugram starting today. Currently, this initiative is in its testing phase. These ambulances are equipped with essential life-saving equipment, including oxygen cylinders, AED (automated external defibrillator), a stretcher, a monitor, a suction machine, and essential emergency medicines and injections. Additionally, each vehicle will have a scoop stretcher and a wheelchair to safely transfer the patients. Every vehicle will be staffed with a paramedic, a duty assistant, and a trained driver.
