In big move to strengthen its FMCG (Fast moving consumer goods) footprint, Reliance Consumer Products Limited (RCPL), the FMCG arm of the Reliance Group, has made its debut in the UAE by launching Campa at the 30th edition of Gulfood in collaboration with Agthia Group, according to the company's announcement in a release today.

Since reviving the Campa Cola in 2023 after acquiring it in 2022, RCPL has turned back the clock on one of India’s most cherished soft drink brands from the 1970s and ’80s, the FMCG giant adds.

“The Campa portfolio will initially include Campa Cola, Campa Lemon and Campa Orange and Cola Zero,” the company said.

Sharing excitement on the launch of Campa to enter the UAE market, Ketan Mody, COO, Reliance Consumer Products Limited, stated, “We are excited to enter the UAE market with Campa, a heritage Indian brand founded more than 50 years ago. We are investing for the long-term and see great potential for accelerated growth in the region. We are delighted to come together with our partners today to transform the beverage experience for consumers across the UAE.”

Mody expressed confidence that the brand would attract a new wave of fans in the UAE with its refreshing taste, while also sparkling nostalgia among Indian expats.

Agthia Group PJSC (public joint stock company), a leading force in Abu Dhabi’s food and beverage landscape, has been settled since 2004. Listed in Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) with the symbol ‘AGITHA,’ the company is a part of ADQ, one of the region’s most influential holding companies. The Group’s assets are located in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, Egypt, Turkey, and Jordan.

Just days after sealing the deal with Maharashtra-based SIL Foods India Private Ltd in January, RCPL made another power move in early February by acquiring Velvette, the homegrown brand that kickstarted the sachet revolution in the FMCG space.
