Once completed, the corridor will bring major economic and logistical benefits. It will cut the distance by 100 km, reducing it from 635 km to 535 km. Travel time will also come down by almost four hours, from about twelve hours to nearly eight hours.
The corridor will improve regional connectivity by directly linking Bengaluru with Vijayawada. It will make travel easier between the Rayalaseema region and the coastal and northern parts of Andhra Pradesh, and improve access to the Koparthy Industrial Node.
