Out of the total central expenditure of ₹39.4 lakh crore, ₹16.2 lakh crore is estimated to be spent on central schemes, which is 41% of total expenditure. In FY23, the expenditure on schemes is projected to increase by ₹13,437 crore as compared to revised estimates of FY22.
