The Ba***ds of Bollywood

This series marks Shahrukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan’s directorial debut. Starring Bobby Deol, Lakshya, and Raghav Juyal, the show is a tongue-in-cheek take on Indian cinema, following the journey of an ambitious outsider navigating the glamorous world of Bollywood. The series also has cameo of Baadshah, Karan Johar, Shahrukh Khan and others. Packed with self-aware humour and larger-than-life characters, the series might be an entertaining, satirical ride through the industry’s glitzy facade.

The Year Of EV Launches

The Trial Season 2

In its return for a second season, Kajoll-starrer The Trial revolves around Noyonika, a housewife-turned-lawyer who shoulders the responsibility of her family after her husband’s imprisonment in a corruption and sex scandal. The series also stars Kubbra Sait and Sheeba Chaddha and brings back the family drama and complex legal battles from season 1.

The series is streaming on JioHotstar from Friday.

Gen V Season 2

The satirical superhero series is loosely based on the comic arc We Gotta Go Now by Garth Ennis, Darick Robertson, and John Higgins. This spin-off of The Boys, set after the events of The Boys Season 4, the series continues to explore the morally murky world of young supes.

The season has been live on Prime Video from September 17, 2025, with three episodes, followed by weekly releases until October 22.

Police Police

The first project follows two high schoolers who, in a bid to prove whether ghosts or aliens exist, encounter terrifying paranormal forces, unexpectedly gain superpowers, and possibly even fall in love.

Police Police, a Tamil original streaming on JioHotstar (also available in three additional languages including English), tells the story of a cop who illegally recruits a criminal to become a policeman. Starring Jayaseelan, Shabanaa Shahjahan, and Sathya, the film explores how long the duo can survive in a dangerous game of crime and law.

She Said Maybe

This German-language romantic comedy-drama film is directed by Buket Alakus and The Chau Ngo. Starring Beritan Balci as Mavi, the story follows a German-raised woman who discovers her ties to a wealthy Turkish dynasty and is thrust into a world of glamour and luxury. As she navigates her newfound heritage, Mavi faces challenges that put her relationship and identity to the test.

The film released on September 19, 2025 on Netflix

Thammudu

The film revolves around a devoted brother played by Nithiin who goes to great lengths to protect his sister while navigating the ups and downs of their bond. This survival action drama is directed by Venu Sriram and produced by Dil Raju. Aside from Nithiin, the film stars Laya, Sapthami Gowda, and Varsha Bollamma.

With the theatrical release on July 4, the film was released in Telugu on Netflix in August, however, the Hindi version of this blockbuster can be watched on JioHotstar.

Sinners

This mystery horror-thriller starring the legendary Michael B. Jordan alongside Miles Caton and Saul Williams, is directed and written by Ryan Coogler. The film follows twin brothers who, in an attempt to leave their troubled pasts behind, return to their Mississippi hometown only to confront a far greater evil awaiting them.

Sinners made its India digital debut on JioHotstar on September 18, 2025.
