The Indian share market is seen opening flat on Wednesday, tracking mixed cues from global peers and muted trends in GIFT Nifty futures. At 8:05 AM, the GIFT Nifty index was 27.5 points, or 0.11%, higher at 24,802, indicating a lacklustre start for the benchmark indices, the BSE Sensex and the NSE Nifty.

On Tuesday, the Sensex tumbled 873 points, or 1.06%, to close at 81,186, while the Nifty50 ended 262 points, or 1.05%, lower at 24,684. The broader market also settled in negative terrain, with the Nifty Midcap100 and Smallcap100 indices sliding by 1.62% and 0.94%, respectively. The market witnessed profit booking amid lack of any positive trigger and lack of clarity on the India-U.S. trade deal.
