With just hours to go before Samsung’s much-awaited Galaxy Unpacked event, all eyes are on what’s set to be the highlight of the show — the Galaxy Z Fold 7. The next-gen foldable is expected to deliver a major leap in performance, AI integration, and sleek design refinement.

According to TheVerge, a BlueSky user reported that the foldable is expected to come with a sharper 200MP camera, a more immersive 8-inch display, and AI-driven features across productivity, imaging, and multitasking.

At the core of its performance upgrade is expected the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chip, delivering a 38% faster CPU, 26% faster GPU, and a 41% improvement in NPU speed, expected to enable smoother graphics, quicker AI response, and better overall efficiency. The foldable phone is also rumoured to be paired with a 4,400mAh battery expected to be suited for all-day power whether you're gaming, watching videos, or multitasking on the move.

India's Top 100 Billionaires

August 2025

As India continues to be the world’s fastest-growing major economy, Fortune India presents its special issue on the nation’s Top 100 Billionaires. Curated in partnership with Waterfield Advisors, this year’s list reflects a slight decline in the number of dollar billionaires—from 185 to 182—even as the entry threshold for the Top 100 rose to ₹24,283 crore, up from ₹22,739 crore last year. From stalwarts like Mukesh Ambani, Gautam Adani, and the Mistry family, who continue to lead the list, to major gainers such as Sunil Mittal and Kumar Mangalam Birla, the issue goes beyond the numbers to explore the resilience, ambition, and strategic foresight that define India’s wealth creators. Visually, the Fold 7 is more compact and refined. When folded, it’s 3.2mm slimmer and 24g lighter than its predecessor, coming in at just 4.2mm when open and 215g in total — lighter than a bar of chocolate. The newly expanded 6.5-inch cover screen with a 21:9 aspect ratio makes one-handed use and typing easier, while the 8-inch main screen is the most expansive yet on a Galaxy foldable.

From ultra-wide 12MP shots to 10MP telephoto zoom, the Fold 7 is expected to capture in detail regardless of lighting conditions. The phone also is expected to come with an upgraded 10MP main screen selfie camera for sharper and wider group shots.

AI is also expected to play a deeper role across user experiences. With Photo Assist, users will now be edited side-by-side, moving or enlarging objects with ease. There also will be something called Now Brief that will deliver personalised daily insights, while the usual Writing Assist will help save and organise content effortlessly by dragging summaries into Samsung Notes.

If the rumours turn out to be true, this might turn out Samsung’s most promising foldable phone with a powerful, multitasking setup blending smarter software, stronger design, and sharper hardware into one polished package.
