U.S. president Donald Trump has claimed that the first phase of talks between Israel and Hamas on a Gaza peace deal is set to be completed by the end of this week. In a recent post on Truth Social, Trump warned about the urgency of the issue, cautioning that bloodshed could follow otherwise.
“I am told that the first phase should be completed this week, and I am asking everyone to MOVE FAST. I will continue to monitor this Centuries old “conflict.” TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE OR, MASSIVE BLOODSHED WILL FOLLOW — SOMETHING THAT NOBODY WANTS TO SEE,” Trump wrote in his Sunday post.
He revealed that discussions over the weekend between Hamas and Arab nations are expected to have positive outcomes. The envoys of the involved stakeholders are meeting today, Trump revealed.

“There have been very positive discussions with Hamas, and Countries from all over the World (Arab, Muslim, and everyone else) this weekend, to release the Hostages, end the War in Gaza but, more importantly, finally have long sought PEACE in the Middle East. These talks have been very successful and proceeding rapidly. The technical teams will again meet Monday, in Egypt, to work through and clarify the final details,” he added.
According to media reports, Hamas and Israeli delegations have reached Egypt and will meet today to advance negotiations on a ceasefire, the release of hostages, and an end to the ongoing conflict in Gaza.
From the U.S., Trump’s aides, including Jared Kushner and senior envoy Steve Witkoff, are also set to meet the stakeholders in Egypt.
