ABS is a rider-assist feature that regulates brake pressure to help avoid wheel lock, while not changing the driving experience or mileage.

Commenting on this launch, Kenichi Umeda - Managing Director, Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd, said, “Early this January, we marked an important milestone with the launch of Suzuki’s first electric scooter, the e-ACCESS, reinforcing our commitment to future-ready mobility. Today, we are happy to further strengthen our portfolio with the introduction of the Suzuki Access equipped with ABS. With the addition of this ABS variant, we are expanding the range of choices within the Access family, enabling customers to select a variant that best aligns with their riding preferences. We remain committed to introducing new and relevant products that meet evolving customer expectations.”

Colour variants:

Access Ride Connect ABS Edition: Metallic Mat Black No.2, Metallic Mat Stellar Blue, Pearl Grace White, Solid Ice Green and Pearl Shiny Beige.

Access Ride Connect TFT ABS Edition: Metallic Mat Black No.2, Metallic Mat Stellar Blue, Pearl Grace White, Solid Ice Green and Pearl Mat Aqua Silver

Are there other 125 cc scooters with ABS as an offering?

At present, ABS is still rare in the 125cc scooter segment in India. Apart from the newly launched Suzuki Access ABS variant, most popular scooters in the same engine category — including models from Honda, TVS, Yamaha and Hero, continue to offer Combined Braking System (CBS) instead of ABS. One of the few exceptions is the VLF Mobster 135, which offers dual-channel ABS, but it remains a niche product. Overall, ABS adoption in the 125cc scooter space is limited, with most high-volume models yet to introduce the feature.

Instead, the following 150 cc scooters offer ABS:
