Eicher Motors posts record FY25 profit, crosses one million Royal Enfield motorcycle sales

Eicher Motors Limited (EML) reported its highest-ever financial results for the fourth quarter and full year 2024–25, crossing a symbolic milestone of one million motorcycles sold annually under its Royal Enfield brand, underscoring scale, resilience, and strategic focus.

For the quarter ended March 31, 2025, EML clocked revenues of ₹5,241 crore, up 23.1% from the previous year, with EBITDA at ₹1,258 crore and profit after tax (PAT) at ₹1,362 crore, up 27.3%. Royal Enfield reported its highest-ever quarterly sales at 2,80,801 units, a 23.2% growth.

The full year saw revenues touching ₹18,870 crore, with PAT reaching ₹4,734 crore, an 18.3% jump over the previous year. EBITDA stood at ₹4,712 crore, growing 8.9% over the corresponding period last year. For the first time in its history, Royal Enfield sold over a million motorcycles (1,002,893 units), with domestic volumes of 902,757 and exports surging 29.7% to 100,136 units.

“We have had a remarkable year at EML... Royal Enfield stood head and shoulders above everyone else to sell one million motorcycles annually, for the first time in its history,” said Siddhartha Lal, Chairman of Eicher Motors. “We balanced creativity with rigour, legacy and progress... and I genuinely believe we are just getting started.”

The company’s VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV) segment also delivered strong growth, with revenues of ₹23,548 crore, EBITDA of ₹2,023 crore, and PAT of ₹1,286 crore, on the back of 90,000 units sold—a 5.4% rise in a largely flat industry.

Vinod Aggarwal, MD & CEO of VECV, noted: “Our company closed the year as a market leader in the Indian 5–18.5T Light and Medium Duty truck segment and recorded its highest ever deliveries across key business verticals.”

VECV also expanded its EV and LNG portfolio, launched the Eicher Pro X electric truck range, and rolled out India’s first FM Road Train through Volvo Trucks, all while prioritizing sustainability and gender inclusivity through all-women assembly lines.

FY25 saw six major launches from Royal Enfield—including the Guerrilla 450, Bear 650, Classic 650, Goan Classic 350, 2024 Classic 350, and the Scram 440. The company also debuted its city+ electric mobility brand Flying Flea, showcasing a blend of retro design and futuristic tech, with launches scheduled from 2026.

On the global front, Royal Enfield inaugurated its first fully owned CKD assembly plant in Thailand and announced a second one in Brazil to cater to the LATAM market. The brand expanded its presence in Bangladesh as well, assembling popular models locally.

Community engagement continued to thrive with the 14th edition of Motoverse, drawing over 10,000 enthusiasts, and showcasing new models alongside cultural and motorsport events. Royal Enfield also launched Camp Kharu, a green pit stop on the Leh-Manali highway, operated by local women and built using sustainable materials.
