PwC projects a 30.4% surge in India’s monthly podcast listeners over the next five years. That’s music to the ears of Anand, who runs India’s larg - est podcast creation, hosting, and distribution platform, with over 10 million monthly listeners. A spike in content creation and consumption during the pandemic saw Hubhopper’s revenue leap threefold last year. It distributes content on 20 platforms, including Spotify, Gaana, and Wynk Music. The company, which started as a social network before pivoting in 2017, closed 2020 with a ₹9-crore investment from HT Media and others.
