Gudwani was well placed to take advantage of the “above-the-keyboard” dressing vogue last year given her startup blends fashion and technology to make workwear for women. The MBA graduate worked at McKinsey before launching FableStreet in 2016. She spent a year on market analysis that helped build an algorithm for tailor-fit clothes, to solve commonplace size issues. Such innovations helped last year too as its new work-from-home collection helped the business grow threefold. FableStreet, which raised ₹21 crore in 2019, is also launching a new comfortwear brand even as the pandemic redefines workwear.
