Eicher Motors closed FY26 with its strongest-ever financial performance, driven by sustained momentum in Royal Enfield motorcycles and robust growth in its commercial vehicle business. The manufacturer of Royal Enfield motorcycles reported a 12% year-on-year rise in consolidated net profit for the March quarter at ₹1,520 crore, while quarterly revenue climbed 16% to ₹6,080 crore.

The company’s operating performance remained resilient despite a high base, with EBITDA rising 20% year-on-year to ₹1,514 crore in Q4 FY26, pushing EBITDA margin up to 24.9% from 24% a year earlier. The strong quarter capped a record-setting fiscal for the company, with FY26 consolidated revenue rising 24% to ₹23,408 crore and profit after tax increasing 17% to ₹5,515 crore. The board has recommended a final dividend of ₹82 per share for the financial year.

Royal Enfield powers growth engine

Royal Enfield continued to anchor Eicher Motors’ growth trajectory, posting its highest-ever annual motorcycle sales at 1,227,977 units in FY26, marking a 22% increase over the previous year. Domestic volumes grew 23% to 1,107,343 units, while exports rose 20% to 120,634 units, underscoring improving international traction for the mid-sized motorcycle brand.

In the March quarter alone, Royal Enfield sold 313,811 motorcycles, up 12% year-on-year, aided by strong demand across key models including the Hunter 350, Himalayan and Meteor range.

B. Govindarajan, managing director of Eicher Motors and chief executive officer of Royal Enfield, described FY26 as an “exceptional year” marked by record volumes, global expansion and entry into electric mobility through the Flying Flea C6 platform.

Capacity expansion and EV bets gather pace

Eicher Motors is sharpening its long-term growth strategy through aggressive capacity expansion and future mobility investments. The company announced a ₹958-crore brownfield expansion at its Cheyyar manufacturing facility in Tamil Nadu, which will raise annual production capacity from 14.6 lakh units to 20 lakh units.

The company also accelerated its electric mobility ambitions during the year with the launch of the Flying Flea C6, Royal Enfield’s first electric motorcycle under its new City+ mobility platform.

VECV crosses 1 lakh vehicle sales milestone

VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV), Eicher Motors’ joint venture with Volvo Group, also delivered a record year. Revenue from operations rose 15% to ₹27,076.6 crore in FY26, while EBITDA stood at ₹2,562.6 crore. Profit after tax increased to ₹1,471 crore.

VECV sold 103,404 vehicles during the year, registering a 14.7% increase over FY25 and crossing the 1 lakh annual sales milestone for the first time.
