TVS Motor Company on Friday appointed Peyman Kargar as Director and Chief Executive Officer, effective January 27, 2027. Kargar currently serves as President, International Business, at the company. Kargar will succeed K N Radhakrishnan, who will continue as Director and CEO until January 27 to ensure a smooth transition. Radhakrishnan will then serve as Non-Executive Director until the company's ensuing Annual General Meeting (AGM), scheduled for July 2027.

The leadership change comes as TVS Motor looks to build on its recent growth in India and overseas markets. In FY2025-26, the company sold a record 5.9 million vehicles globally and reported 30% revenue growth.

Kargar has more than three decades of experience in the global automotive industry, with leadership roles across Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East. His experience covers product development, research and development, manufacturing, quality, sales and marketing. As President of International Business, Kargar has helped drive TVS Motor's global expansion. International markets now account for 29% of the company's sales volume and are growing at 33%.

In his new role, Kargar will focus on expanding TVS Motor's business in India and overseas, with a focus on product innovation, premiumisation and expansion into developed markets.

Reacting to the development, the stock fell by 3.39% to ₹4,260.30 at the time of reporting.
