A month after Reliance Consumer Products launched the Campa brand in Nepal with Chaudhary Group (CG), the Reliance Industries company, in partnership with Ceylon Cold Stores (manufacturer and distributor of the Elephant House brand), has introduced the Campa Beverages in Sri Lanka. The partnership builds on their previous collaboration, which was about the launch of Elephant House Beverages in India in February 2024.

Apart from these two countries, Campa also has a presence in GCC countries.

Campa’s entry into Sri Lanka aligns with Reliance Consumer Products' plans to expand across key overseas markets. Since acquiring Campa Cola in 2022 and reintroducing it to Indian consumers in 2023, RCPL has revitalised a legacy brand, which captured the imagination of generations in the 1970s and 1980s.

The brand’s entry into Sri Lanka is supported by the market presence of Ceylon Cold Stores, a subsidiary of the John Keells Group, which will offer distribution reach and operational scale to the brands.

Ketan Mody, Executive Director at Reliance Consumer Products, said the company is investing for the long-term and sees great potential for accelerated growth in the region. “Campa Cola has multi-generational relevance and ...Campa isn’t just a drink; it’s a revival of a legacy. We’re confident it will introduce a new wave of fans to its refreshing taste across all consumers in Sri Lanka."

"We look forward to leveraging our robust distribution network and market expertise to establish the Campa brand in Sri Lanka, just as it has been in India for generations,” said Daminda Gamlath, President, John Keells - Consumer Foods Sector. The Campa portfolio in Sri Lanka includes Campa Cola, Lemon, Orange, and the energy range featuring Campa NRG Gold Boost and Berry Kik.

Billionaire Mukesh Ambai-led Reliance Industries (RIL) had acquired the homegrown iconic soft drink brand Campa from Delhi-based Pure Drinks Group in 2023. Campa Cola was a market leader in the Indian soft drink market in the 1970s and 1980s in most regions of India until foreign brands Pepsi and Coca-Cola entered the domestic market in 1990s. Reliance Consumer in April roped in actor Ram Charan as the new face of Campa alongside the launch of a new marketing campaign, "Campa Wali Zidd".

The company in January announced the acquisition of Maharashtra-based Sil Food India. RCPL aims to bring new life to SIL Foods’ storied brand and build on its heritage, leveraging its scale, tech capabilities, and deep understanding of the Indian consumer. SIL offers products in categories such as jams, sauces, mayonnaise, and canned goods.
